The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has announced the preliminary interview list for the 2nd State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025. This recruitment drive is being conducted to appoint Assistant Teachers in Higher Secondary schools (Classes XI–XII). A total of 20,500 candidates have been provisionally selected for the interview and document verification stage. The verification process is scheduled for 18th November 2025. The call ratio stands at 1:6 candidates per vacancy. This means that 160 candidates have been selected for every 100 available posts.
Selection criteria and mark distribution
The selection of candidates is based on a multi-stage evaluation process:
- Written Examination: 60 marks
- Educational Qualification: 10 marks
- Teaching Experience: 10 marks
- Interview / Lecture Demonstration / Oral Test: Marks allotted as per WBSSC rules
